Instagram has introduced a new feature called "Drops" in US that let's people to know about the products that will be available for purchase to users in the coming weeks. It can be limited edition products or new products. Users can purchase the product directly through the app itself with the checkout feature.

Instagram has told it has planned to introduce this feature and also the checkout feature for businesses outside US also. For now, Instagram is not charging anything from businesses to help businesses recover the losses that were incurred because of the ongoing pandemic. It might charge some rate in the future. This feature helps both Instagram to increase its user base because of online shopping within the app itself without the need to go out of the app to make the payment. Businesses are also benefitted because they can create some hype before the launch of a new product. The Drops feature will display basic information and for more info users have to visit the product's official website like price, availability,etc.. Anyone can switch to business account but there are some criteria to sell products on Instagram. You can save a product that's in the "drop" section for later purchase or share it with a friend. So, that's the end of the post folks I hope I made it clear about the new feature on Instagram. Here's a question: have you bought any products on Instagram like t-shirts, mobile accessories? I have seen them but I have not bought anything. Let me know in the comments below about your experiences π.
Thanks for reading ❣️
